Adirondack (46) High Peaks
On October 4, 2020, we “accidentally” hiked our first High Peak in the Adirondacks, Mount Colden. In fact, we unknowingly walked past the true summit. Rookie mistake! Although we had picked to hike Colden due to its reputation as a challenging yet beautiful hike, we were hooked. By the end of that night, we learned the term 46er and by the end of the week we had summited 8 more peaks.
46ers refer to hikers who have climbed all 46 of the traditionally recognized High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. We successfully completed this massive hiking project in the Fall of 2024!!
Multi-Day Treks
Multi-day treks have an added element of adventure. No matter the conditions, you must press on to your next destination. While this makes for some tough days in the mountains, it builds resilience and makes the blue sky days a true treasure.
We’ve done multi-day treks at the end of the world in Patagonia and near the top of the world in Nepal. We’ve had flawless days and many not-so-perfect days, but the people we met and the experiences we had were unforgettable.
U.S. National Parks
From towering cliffs to otherworldly deserts, America’s national parks are home to some of the country’s most rugged and iconic landscapes. Looking for a scenic drive, a heart pounding hike, a snorkel to an underwater world? There is something for everyone at the national parks.
Some of our favorite trips in recent years have been spent exploring the national parks, proving you don’t always need to travel far and wide to experience something new and exciting.
